Happy Thursday to you all! Today’s post is very special because we are going to talk about Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Panama 2015, which we attended on Wednesday, November 28! This experience was incredible because apart from seeing each fashion designer and his collection, we saw how each outfit had a meaning and symbol to it.
The first fashion block, which was in support for PROBIBSIDA, featured four designers. Funny story: we arrived late and were only able to see three out of the four designers. However, the ones we did see were very appealing and different at the same time. The first one was Italian designer, Paolo Errico.
Out of the three, Errico’s designs were Vanessa’s favorite. I loved his play on colors and textures and how different some of his pieces were. Not that I would use all of them, but some I definitely would. The background images and music were spectacular and part of why I liked his presentation so much.
Helene Breebaart’s collection was very colorful! She gets her inspiration from nature and all the beautiful things Panama and Panamanian culture has to offer. Her collection was presented by Perrier, and the colors and music went hand in hand with advertising it. It was cool and also original.
Lastly, we saw Gladys Vallarino, Valentina’s favorite. This designer brought the jungle to another level. Wild prints, swimsuits, bags and earth tones were some of the things featured in this collection.
Outside the runway room, there was also a big fashion fair. Not only were there clothes, but also swimsuits, shoes, bags, makeup and even other original businesses. The picture below is a photo from a photo booth with our friend Marie McGrath from The Joy of Fashion, we had a lot of fun together. P.S. Can we talk about Marie’s dress? It’s super girly!
Around the fashion fair we saw a booth selling Chiara Ferragni’s designs. We are obssesed with this brand since it has beautiful and amazing ideas for the designs of the shoes, bags, and hats.
Both of us wore short dresses which were really chic and adorable. We thought that these dresses were perfect because apart from being pretty and comfy, they were also dressy and unique. Vanessa’s dress gives a Tommy Hilfiger vibe, while Valentina’s is a beautiful pink/red color.
Hope you enjoyed it, see you next year! 😉
